What is the LPG mixer used for?

What is an LPG blender?

An LPG blender, short for Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is a specialised piece of equipment designed to blend LPG with air. This precise control of proportions is essential as it allows industry to tailor the composition of LPG to specific applications by completely replacing Natural Gas or to use LPG with NG in any proportion. How does the LPG mixer work?

The LPG gas phase, which is formed in the vaporiser, is not directly identical to natural gas. LPG/air mixers create a gas mixture with the right properties, allowing users to switch seamlessly between natural gas supply from the distribution network and a back-up system based on LPG. This all happens without the need to make changes to burner settings, boilers etc.
The simplest LPG/SNG Blenders are mixing devices based on the Venturi tube phenomenon. For more powerful units designed for high-pressure installations, AES uses patented blenders with an adjustable piston.
